Going forward for 2011-2012 we are offering a collection of 20 parkas for men & women.  Out of 20 styles a third of them are totally new, nothing less! This season we selected 4 new fabrics to enhance our models bringing them to another level.

On January 8th, “Fashion Fights Backs” was broadcast on CBC at The National. “When quotas were lifted, cheap Asian clothes flooded in and nearly sunk Montreal’s textile sector. But some companies adapted, and thrive”, Quartz Nature is one of them.

After nearly six months of evaluation the audacious & innovative business decisions of Yves Trudeau, founder of Quartz Nature have been acknowledged. Quartz Nature was chosen for the inaugural “Prix Québécois de l’Entreprise citoyenne de l’Année” organized by L’Actualité & Korn/Ferry International. 

Quartz Nature was honoured from it’s decision to bring back all the production of his winter garments in Canada. With this specific business decision they saved a 25 employees stitching plan, which was going to close because of a major lack of job, in a field seriously affected by massive delocalization to off-shore production (50000 jobs have gone in the Canadian textile industry since 2002; one person out of two).

Scientists tested & approved the Vostok model, our expedition parka. It has been used durign field work at Eureka, Ellesmere Island under very cold conditions (~ -30C or colder with wind chill). Read Dr. Lyle Whyte comments.
